Gardner Covert Dark Mugga Hooks

Description

The Gardner Covert Dark Mugga Hooks are a robust and effective choice for carp and specimen anglers. These hooks are manufactured from forged, double-tempered, high carbon steel wire, designed for strength relative to their wire gauge. They feature a Covert Dark matt finish, which offers camouflage and helps maintain point sharpness due to a single electroplated application. The design incorporates a sweeping, slightly curved shank and a 25-degree in-turned eye, a combination engineered to cause the hook to flip decisively as the hooklink tightens. This action aims to ensure firm hook holds in the corner of the mouth or bottom lip without the need for additional shrink tubing. The specific orientation between the hook eye and the straight point is intended to create an optimal angle for quick and secure penetration. Key features of the Gardner Covert Dark Mugga Hooks include: - COVERT DARK matt finish - Longer, sharper, chemically etched straight point - Short curved shank - 25-degree in-turned eye - Micro barb (also available barbless) - Manufactured from forged, double-tempered, high carbon steel wire These hooks are available in various sizes: Size 2 is barbed only, while sizes 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 are available in both barbed and barbless options. Micro barbed hooks are generally considered kinder to fish mouths, making them suitable for many commercial fisheries, and are also structurally stronger than full barbed alternatives as less wire is removed during manufacturing. Each packet contains 10 hooks. Bulk packs containing 20 hooks are also available for sizes 4 and 6, barbed only.
