Korda Kamakura Wide Gape Hooks

Description

The Korda Kamakura Wide Gape Hooks are a refined version of the classic Wide Gape pattern, engineered for exceptional sharpness and reliable carp retention. These premium carp fishing hooks are designed to deliver highly effective penetration and secure fish holding, even in demanding conditions. Utilising the Kamakura sharpening process, each hook point is made incredibly sharp, comparable to a hand-sharpened finish, directly out of the pack. A protective wax coating is applied to the beaked point to preserve its sharpness until use, which should be carefully removed before fishing. Due to the fine nature of the point, it is recommended to check and potentially replace the hook after each fish caught to maintain optimal performance. The design of the Korda Kamakura Wide Gape features a short shank, a slightly in-turned eye, and a heavily forged bend. This combination creates an aggressive presentation that is difficult for carp to eject. They are a versatile choice suitable for a variety of carp rigs, including hair rig systems and anti-eject presentations. These hooks excel when fishing in snaggy waters, around branches, debris, mussels, or other obstacles, and can be used effectively with both pop-up and bottom baits. - Extremely sharp due to the Kamakura sharpening process - Short shank and slightly in-turned eye for aggressive presentation - Forged bend and beaked point for secure fish holding - Suitable for pop-up and bottom bait presentations - Protective wax coating on the point - Ideal for fishing in snaggy waters and near obstacles - Available in micro-barbed or barbless versions - Supplied in packs of 10 hooks
