The Korda Loop DF Wide Gape X Rigs are pre-tied hook sections designed for carp and specimen anglers looking for a reliable combi-rig setup. These ready rigs are constructed from a purpose-made 18lb semi-stiff braided material, enabling them to be loop-to-looped onto Korda Booms Loop or a self-tied boom to create an effective combi-rig. Each rig features a Korda Wide Gape X hook, known for its heavier gauge wire compared to the original Wide Gape, making it suitable for challenging conditions such as snaggy or weedy waters, and for use overseas. The Wide Gape X hook incorporates a sharp beaked point, a heavily forged bend, a relatively short shank, a Teflon coating, and a slightly in-turned eye. The rig itself is set up in a blow-back style, complete with a perfectly angled piece of shrink tubing over the eye, which aids in flipping the hook for optimal presentation and secure hooking. These rigs are ideal for a variety of bait presentations, including bottom baits, wafters, and balanced hookbaits. Each hook section is approximately 2 inches in length from the loop to the eye of the hook.
