Drennan Crystal Avons Float

Description

The Drennan Crystal Avons Float is a clear plastic float, with its design rooted in the traditional English Avon river float. Constructed from tough, buoyant plastic, these floats feature a bulbous body and a lathe-diameter tip, making them suitable for various river fishing applications. The material ensures that the fishing line cannot damage or cut into the float, a common issue with more traditional balsa bodies. While effective in fast-flowing rivers, the transparent crystal body of the Drennan Crystal Avons Float also makes it particularly useful in rivers and canals with a slow, steady flow, where its unobtrusive nature helps avoid spooking fish, especially in shallow waters (1 to 2 feet deep). Key features of the Drennan Crystal Avons Float include: - Unobtrusive, transparent plastic construction - Buoyant upper body for optimal presentation - Long, non-buoyant stem for enhanced stability - Widened midsection to improve stability in choppy or turbulent water - Slim tail design to increase sensitivity by reducing resistance from a biting fish - Designed for attachment at the top and bottom using silicone float rubbers - Ideal for trotting techniques, including fishing along the far bank Each Drennan Crystal Avons Float is marked with a weight rating in grams, indicating the amount of weight it can support, rather than the float's own weight. This range of attributes makes it a versatile choice for anglers targeting various species in diverse river and canal environments.
