The Drennan Wafters are designed as an effective hookbait for carp and F1’s. They are available in a dumbell shape, which is suitable for both banding and spiking applications. These wafters feature a critically balanced buoyancy, allowing them to be presented effectively. The 6mm wafters can be critically balanced with size 12 or 14 hooks, while the 8mm wafters pair well with size 10 or 12 hooks, with the optimal hook size depending on the wire gauge. They are particularly effective when used on a short hooklink in conjunction with a pellet method feeder, where the hookbait can be positioned within the pellets.
