Abu Garcia MKII Reel

Description

The Abu Garcia 506 MKII Reel is an updated version of the classic 506 closed face reel, first released in the 1970s. Abu Garcia has long been recognised as a leading manufacturer of closed face reels, with the Swedish company holding the title of Purveyor to the Royal Swedish Court for its reel manufacturing excellence. While the reel retains a traditional exterior, the technology beneath the closed face is thoroughly modern. Designed for anglers using small lures or float fishing on fast rivers, it allows for quick and easy casting, suiting anglers of any skill level. The original 506 made its name as a superb float fishing reel before falling out of fashion with advances in open faced reel technology. This MKII version keeps the advantages that set the original apart while incorporating the technological advances of the last 40 years, allowing it to compete with today's top end reels and offer a contemporary take on classic style.
