Description

The Guru Disgorger is an essential tool designed for the safe and efficient removal of hooks, prioritising fish welfare. It operates by allowing the fishing line to run through a specialised recess, guiding the tool down to the hook. With gentle pressure, the hook can be safely dislodged. Key features of the Guru Disgorger range include: - Constructed from robust, durable plastic with a strong cross-section - Ergonomic handle designed to provide a secure grip, even with wet hands - Rounded, smooth head design to minimise damage to the fish's mouth - High-visibility finish, typically in Guru Orange, to make it easy to locate - Features a hole at the top for attachment to a lanyard, keeping it readily accessible Guru offers various disgorgers within its range, such as the QM1 and Conti models, each optimised for different fishing scenarios. The Guru QM1 Disgorger, for instance, is specifically designed with a custom-fit head to match the aggressive curve of QM1 hooks and similar beaked patterns, suitable for hook sizes 10-18. It often features an overmoulded rubberised handle for enhanced grip and a rigid core to prevent flex. The longer Guru Conti Disgorger is ideal for feeder fishing where deeper hook holds may be encountered, particularly with species like bream, and is suitable for hook sizes 10-22. These tools are built for consistent performance across various commercial and natural water fishing situations.
