MAP Carptek ACS Shallow Spool

Description

The MAP Carptek ACS Shallow Spool is designed as a direct replacement or spare for the MAP Carptek ACS 3000 FD fishing reel. This shallow spool is an integral part of the Carptek ACS range, known for its focus on modern coarse and carp angling, particularly effective for float and feeder fishing techniques. Constructed from durable aluminium, the spool contributes to the overall robust build quality of the Carptek ACS series. It is engineered to deliver smooth performance and features a sensitive drag system when paired with its reel. A key feature of the Carptek ACS system, for which this spool is compatible, is the unique worldwide patented ACS Clip System. This innovative line clip allows anglers to clip up for casting accuracy, while a spring-loaded mechanism ensures the line automatically releases if a powerful fish runs, preventing line snap-offs and enabling the fish to be played off the reel's drag. Anglers can use a stop knot or marker on their line to easily re-clip to their desired spot after a fish runs. The MAP Carptek ACS 3000 FD reel, which utilises this shallow spool, has a line capacity of approximately 100 yards of 4lb monofilament.
