The JAG Micro Pod Prolite Black is a compact rod pod with an old-school look that is built to handle serious work. It is made up of just seven components – a main bar, four legs and two uprights – which assemble quickly into a neat, low-profile construction. Despite the "Micro" name and a weight of only 780 grams, it is the first pod designed specifically for snag fishing. Each leg features a machined flat foot with an anchor point, so you can peg through the feet into the ground or screw down on platforms for a highly stable rod platform. The low set profile and angled feet add to its stability, and the pod can go from micro compact to conventional dimensions with ease. It is machined from high grade aluminium with a hard black anodised finish, and the main bar and legs use solid carbon inners. The design makes extensive use of JAG's 'No Loss' Lever for simple operation. The JAG Micro Pod is sold as a complete pod less buzzbars. The main bar can be purchased separately for existing JAG users who have four short banksticks, as these can be used for legs, with Stage Bite inners or short banksticks serving as the uprights. The complete Micro Pod kit comes supplied with the JAG 3 Rod Buzzbar Bag to keep everything neat and tidy.
