The JAG SP Max File is a precision hook-sharpening tool developed with Jason Hayward and manufactured to Jag's exact specification by a Swiss jewellery file maker. In testing, it reduces sharpening time by up to 75% thanks to increased metal removal. It is used to sharpen the three sides of a hook point before a final hone with the SP Stones. The file is purposely designed for precision work, with a specific "cut" grade, compact size, and special safety edges to avoid damaging the SP Vice.
