Description

The Nash Scope Ops Recon Brolly is a shelter designed for the mobile angler, offering weather protection and a short packdown that pairs with Scope 9 and 10 foot rod luggage. It uses a 10,000mm Aquasense® cover with 8mm fibreglass ribs, combining strength with flexibility for extreme conditions. The central bell cap uses stainless wire to remove a common stress point found in cheaper shelters, and a space saver centre boss locks the ribs tight to the cover to maximise internal headroom. Despite its small footprint, it fits both standard and wide Indulgence Sleep Systems, or the Scope Four Fold Sleep System for maximum space under the canopy. Front storm panels are extended over traditional brolly storm sides, offering protection similar to a Titan Hide or the Groundhog and Hog brollies of the early 2000s. This allows a sleep system to be positioned at the back of the brolly, almost completely protected from directional rain. The storm panels roll and secure back independently with elastic toggles for peripheral visibility in dry conditions. An extended internal skirt lets multiple sleep system feet sit over it to help pin the brolly down on wooden platforms or concrete where pegging is not possible. An optional mosquito mesh front panel is included for summer sessions or jungle swims, securing around the centre bell cap with individual pegging points separate from the brolly itself. Twin elastics and toggles tighten the mesh down to form a complete barrier, and the zip is designed to open smoothly without snagging. The brolly is supplied in a roll down and clip waterproof bag that connects to the Scope OPS Rod Skin system via velcro tab and buckle connections, or can be carried independently using a separate shoulder strap (not included) via D clips.
