Daiwa Matchman Pellet Waggler Rod
Description
The Daiwa Matchman Pellet Waggler Rod is the second generation of Daiwa's Matchman float and feeder rods, building on the value-for-money reputation of the series with added features and more model choices. The blank is built using HMC carbon, with all butt sections reinforced by X-WRAP braiding for extra strength. The result is a crisp, responsive rod with progressive power that gives good control over hard-fighting carp, while still offering enough cushion under heavy load to protect the hook hold. The handle uses an Armlock design combining hybrid cork and Duplon for comfort and a clean look. For pellet waggler work, the rod is available in four lengths from 9 feet up to 12 feet, all two-piece. These models deliver positive, accurate casting with loaded floats, crisp line pick-up, and a playing action that becomes power parabolic when fully loaded. A three-piece 13-foot version suits conventional float fishing on open water in bigger fisheries or river float work. Feeder fishing, particularly the Method, is covered by six models. The shorter 7-foot, 8-foot, and 9-foot editions are built for short-range mini Method work and close-quarter combat. Despite their compact size and slim profile, they load easily with strong mainlines and, thanks to the X-WRAP reinforcement, hold their own against bigger fish. For more conventional distances or casting further out, the 10-foot, 11-foot, and 12-foot models suit 40g, 50g, and 60g feeders respectively. - HMC carbon blanks - X-WRAP braiding reinforcement - Stainless Steel guides with ceramic - EVA reel locking foregrip - Hybrid Cork and EVA rear Armlock grip - Downlocking reel seat - Hook holder
