The Korda Spring Bow 5ft + 5ft Net 42in is a longer landing net handle option within the Spring Bow range, designed for anglers who need extra reach without sacrificing the lightweight strength this premium net is known for. It retains the original Spring Bow's reverse taper handle, ability to float without a net float, and ultra-strong lightweight carbon construction, while the JAG engineered spreader block has been strengthened on this extendable version for greater durability. The key difference is the multi-piece handle. It comes with a standard 5ft spigotted handle, and you can add either a 5ft extension or a shorter 2ft extension to create a 10ft or 7ft net handle. This versatility suits waters with shallow margins or large drop-offs down to the water's edge, and the full 10ft length makes netting fish easier when zig fishing. The 5ft spigotted handle is not meant to be used on its own — it should always have an extension fitted at 7ft or 10ft, as these extensions feature a turned stainless steel point to protect the end of the handle. The net is available in a 42in shallow mesh version only and comes complete with a heavy duty dark kamo storage sleeve with a separate pocket for the net. The Spring Bow design draws inspiration from a classic early-eighties net, but deliberately moves away from today's trend for very thin handles. A higher diameter handle increases stiffness, is easier to use and more comfortable to grip, while allowing a thinner wall section without compromising strength or weight. Manufactured from ultra-light, high performing carbon fibre in a satin black finish, with a turned 316 stainless steel point, the net is light enough that when fully assembled it lays perfectly on the water's surface without needing any net float. The spreader block is a key design statement. Engineered by JAG, it is extremely light and easy to use when assembling the arms. The block has a slight oval shape inside with a machined "leading" edge, giving additional space for the arm as it is flexed into place. The arms exit the block at an angle of 91 degrees, and each arm has an oversized machined, anodised aluminium, rounded end that won't push through the mesh. This part holds the thick green cord between the arms, with zero stretch and a perfect curve keeping everything tight and reducing drag through the water. The aluminium block is machined out on both front and back faces, further reducing weight, and features a small slot on the front face that fits a 15mm isotope (not included). The back is engraved with the Spring Bow logo, and the block is finished in a hard wearing, ceramic, gun smoke finish.
