The Daiwa 26 PR100 H2L Baitcaster offers a surprisingly high level of performance and specification for its price point, setting a new standard in its class. It is noticeably compact and comfortable in the hand, thanks to a Super Duralumin body that keeps the weight down to just 180g. The reel features Daiwa's Magforce magnetic braking system, which slows and controls spool speed to prevent backlash. This can be easily adjusted via the thumb dial on the side plate. The retrieve ratio is a rapid 7.3:1, cranking up to 73cm per handle turn, with smoothness and power aided by 3BB bearings, a 7.4g Super2 Duralumin spool, and an aluminium worm shaft.
